Almiron AR now contains Human Milk Oligosaccharide (HMO) 3GL naturally found in breastmilk, prebiotic oligosaccharides scGOS/lcFOS (9:1) and locust bean gum.

NUTRICIA Almiron AR is Food for Special Medical Purposes for the dietary management of reflux and regurgitation. Almiron Anti-Reflux is a thickened formula, designed to help feeds stay down. Suitable from birth, Almiron Anti-Reflux formula is recommended in cases where the baby's stomach has a difficulty to keep the milk during feeding. This occurs because the baby's digestive system is not fully mature. Almiron AR will help relieve these symptoms. Almiron AR is formulated with carob bean gum, which thickens the formula, helping the feed stay down.

It is nutritionally complete, suitable as the sole source of nutrition from birth to 6 months and as part of a weaning diet from 6 months to 1 year. Almiron AR can cause a slight changes in your baby's bowel movements, but do not worry.

Like any other Almiron formula it provides your baby with all the necessary nutrients it needs for its development. Nutricia’s new Almiron AR formulation combines our trusted prebiotic blend of scGOS/lcFOS (9:1), with a unique process to introduce postbiotics and HMO (Human Milk Oligosaccharide) 3’-GL. The combination is clinically proven to, increase beneficial bacteria (Bifidobacterium), improve overall microbiota composition and promote stool characteristics closer to that of breast-fed infants.

Almiron AR also contains: Nucleotides that help build the cells of the body and exist in human milk, polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPs) (in the amounts recommended by leading scientists in the infant and toddler nutrition) which help the proper development of the brain and improve visual acuity and carob bean gum which thickens the formula.

Breastfeeding is best for babies. Almiron Anti-Reflux is a food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of frequent reflux and regurgitation. It should only be used under medical supervision. This product is not suitable for premature infants.

Meal Preparation:

Wash your hands thoroughly and sterilize all utensils according to the manufacturer's instructions. Boil fresh water and leave to cool down to 40 ° C. Measure the required amount of water (refer to feeding guide) into a sterilized bottle. Using the scoop provided, level off the powder with a clean knife. Do not press/heap the powder. Add the correct measure of powder to the water. This can be found in the feeding guide on the back of the pack. Adding too many or too few scoops can be harmful. Close the feeding bottle. SHAKE IMMEDIATELY VERTICALLY AND VIGOURSLY FOR 10 SECONDS UNTIL THE POWDER IS DISSOLVED (rolling the bottle or shaking in circles will not be sufficient). Close the feeding bottle. Cool under running tap. Check temperature of feed. Feed immediately.
